Project Director Melissa Peña has reported there will be no access from Avenue M to SH36 from 7 PM on Tuesday, September 22 to the afternoon of Thursday, September 24.  The closure is associated with the TxDOT SH36 project to remove the existing asphalt road and replace with concrete along the northbound and southbound lanes from US-90A to Avenue J.  Triple B Services, is responsible for traffic control and the placement of safety devices.  Questions should be submitted to the TxDOT Area Engineer at 281-238-7900 or by calling Ms. Peña at 832-595-3500.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) construction road closure along the northbound and southbound lanes of State Highway 36 (SH36) from US-90A to Avenue J has been delayed.  The City has received notification from TxDOT that the SH36 road closures between Avenues H and J previously scheduled for September 11-14 has been cancelled due to rain.  The closures and rerouting of SH36 traffic is now tentatively scheduled from 7 PM Friday, September 18 to 6 AM Monday, September 21 and from 7 PM Friday, October 9 to 6 AM Monday, October 12, weather permitting.
